My Tesla Was Driving Itself Perfectly—Until It Crashed - The Atlantic

there’s a lot to unpack in this article about tesla self-driving operation. i’m looking forward to this technology getting better. i don’t think we’re well equipped to deal with the failure modes that this technology opens us up to. it’s a interesting time to be alive and grappling with these issues.

setting aside the political elements associated with musk, tesla seems to be decidedly on the post-peak side of things and it’s hard to have sympathy for the company given their behavior and the generally declining quality in their product. one has to wonder if there had been more sanity at the head of the institution, if things would be in better shape.

either way interesting read on an FSD crash.
